Inclusive Education

I do my best to create lessons that all students can participate in and find at least some success. I believe that students are always learning, whether it’s the intended learning outcome or not.

I created a lesson inspired by Bonnie Fuller for a grade 3 class where students measured and recorded the lengths of 3 colours of string. They then added the 3 pieces of string together to find the sum before using the string and some glue to create an image of their choice. This lesson was great because even if students weren’t able to do the math correctly, they were all able to create a picture.
